About Me

Born and raised in Kona, Hawaiʻi I live my life with Aloha, determination, and a positive attitude.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Chapman University in 2019, and graduated with a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno in the fall of 2020. I use my passion for communication and storytelling through digital media, writing and online engagement. I previously worked as the Digital Media Manager for Hawaii Business Magazine and now work as a Digital Content Producer at Arizona's Family (3TV/CBS5) in Phoenix, Arizona. I also am a freelance writer for a Kona Coast Magazine, part of the City Lifestyle Publications.

My background and skillset are in newswriting including breaking news, feature stories and push alerts, social media management, multimedia production (documentary filmmaking, audio production), video editing.

Aside from work, I have been dancing hula for 20+ years and enjoy sharing the Hawaiian culture with those around me. I also coach gymnastics, and enjoy watching movies and trying new restaurants in the Phoenix-area.
